Rootstech 2017

If you are like me and didn’t get to attend the Rootstech conference in Salt Lake city, you are still in luck!  Rootstech live streamed some of their keynotes and classes and now have released them in video form.  All you have to do is go to the Rootstech webpage and click on the drop down menu, there you will see links for the different days sessions.  I was able to watch a few of the lessons when they live streamed and over the past couple of days I have watched a few on video.  For those of you who aren’t familiar with Rootstech, it is a conference of all things genealogy with an emphasis on technology.  Today I took in CeCe Moore’s General Session talk given on the Saturday of Rootstech – of course it was on DNA research. She talked about how far the science has come and how it helps in connecting to family and breaking through genealogy brick walls.  Some other classes that I took in were: Journaling Principles that Work; Don’t Just be a Searcher, Be a Researcher; and Family History is Anything But Boring.  These are just a few of the titles available and beyond that they have an archive of the 2016 Rootstech videos as well.  I love taking advantage of these free educational opportunities and from the comfort and convenience of home.
