Lisa Louise Cooke provides a genealogy podcast entitled Genealogy Gems. She offers free content as well as premium member only content. Along with her podcast, she has a website and newsletter and many other resources. I highly recommend you check out her website. It was in her recent newsletter that I learned about free online resources that MyHeritage.com has made available. They are offering free online video classes from their recent conference. The classes vary from DNA to Writing to how to get the most out of the record sets on the MyHeritage.com website. You can read about the available classes here. You may be thinking that you don’t have a membership to their website but if you are a resident of Snohomish or Island Counties and have a library card to the Sno-Isle library system – you have access to the website for free from your home. To access MyHeritage.com with your Sno-Isle library card. Go to: http://www.sno-isle.org and click Online Library (at the top of the page), Click Research in the drop down menu and then Genealogy, click MyHeritage and log in with your library card and password. Happy Hunting!
