Do you like a good mystery novel? How about trying one with a forensic genealogist as the protagonist? I just finished reading Hiding the Past by Nathan Dylan Goodwin. This book is the first in a trilogy of books that tell the story of Morton Farrier, Forensic Genealogist. In this book he is hired by a man who is curious about his ancestry and this man ends up committing suicide, or so it seems. The story is full of twists and turns and is very suspenseful. Morton uses many genealogical methods, some not so above board, to solve the mystery of his client’s ancestry. I love a good mystery and this was especially fun because it also involves genealogy.
